The Timberland PRO Expertise Hiker is tough and
comfortable, provided you take out the thin foot liner and put
in something a bit more supportive. This boot took me to
11,200' on Mt. Shasta through rough volcanic rock, and other
than a bit of dust, came through great. The steel toe is
required by my work but also is good for rough country
conditions. It is a through back heavy boot, but lighter in
weight than the old solid leather types. I intend to use them
for my work in the oil fields too.

Better than some, worse than others- The footpad was
hard, not enough room in the toe. Wide size was narrower than
others I've bought. We'll see how they wear. But the foot bed
is definitely something they need to look into. A boot this
expensive should have a better feel and more comfort with the
sole of your foot.

A Great Investment - Now this is one exceptional boot! It
looks great, and feels, even better. At first, I was reluctant
to buy it, as I hadn't worn steel toe in a long time. However,
the look was too hard to resist. And too, I had a little money
in my pocket and decided what the hell. Just kidding, but I am
glad I purchased it and will wear it every chance I get. I just
got it a little over a week ago and have already worn it three
times. That said, it was a great investment, and I hope to be
back really soon. Thanks Zappos, for keeping me satisfied!

Haven't found anything better... ...for a work boot for
my son, an auto technician. Clunky looking, and he adds a gel
insole for more comfort on hard concrete floors, but they do
the job, and last a year, worn 8-12 hours a day, 6 days a week
- and sometimes more. So far, this is his favorite birthday
gift!

Pitt Boss is a go anywhere work boot - This boot is great. I've worn
it in 4 inch deep mud while turkey shooting as well as during an all day
sight-seeing tour of Washington DC. While a bit heavy for 编号 1 miles of
touring the monuments, my feet stayed dry while everyone elses got wet.

Inserts please - Boot hurt the first two days (plastic heel cup).
After I put a hefty gel insert in, it was fine... in fact its pretty darn
great. I recommend this boot to any working man. Just be ready with some
inserts!
